I’m 13 turning 14 in June and my school lets out before my birthday. When can I get a job?
And, if I need principle recommendation, do I have to get my 8th Grade principle’s recommendation or my High School principle’s.
8th Grade- 13
Summer- 14
High School- 14
so I’ll be turning 14 (if that is the age limit in Illinois) in the summer.

me and my friend like tottally need a summer job.
like we want to buy matching laptops. and we detassaled last year and stuff. but it just wasn’t something that we want to go back to.
i mean i want a summer job that pays good but we are too young to work in like subway or something like that.
also we are small town girls, so there aren’t any subways or stuff like that you know?. so yea.
i don’t know how old ya have to be to work at a store in like illinois or indiana or states like that.
so like if you know of a summer job for a 13 or 12 year old please tell me. i’m like desprate for a job. and i already like babysit but i don’t want to rely on that kind of stuff.

I have a question I have a job offer in Las vegas making $40,000 a year but I only have 2 classes before I get my masters degree in illinois which means I woul have to stay here… what would you do? take the job? or risk the job to get the degree?

I live in the midwest and I’m getting bored with it. I’m single, with no kids and 35. I love Florida. I want to move somewhere definitely warm. I would prefer to live on or near an ocean or gulf. I don’t want to be more than a 24 hr. drive from Illinois. I love really green, pretty areas with lots of nature. However, I also enjoy like fun nightclubs and good shopping. I have a bit of money saved up but I will have to get some sort of job obviously. I’m looking at possibly renting a room at someone’s home or apartment until I decide what I want to do for sure. Thanks for any advice!

There are no jobs for me out here. I’m 51 years old. I am seriously thinking of retiring at 51 or 52 years of age to collect my social security. How do I go about the process of retiring now instead of 65 years old? I need some help and advice. Thank-you in advance for your help.

I’m looking to stay in Evanston for a few months while I look for a job in Chicago. It seems really far. Do a lot of people make the daily commute from Evanston to Chicago? Do most people take the CTA or the metra? Which is more efficient?
